B2B Commercial Construction
Commercial general contractor in Central Florida
Licensed Florida GC (CBC1266039) delivering office, retail, restaurant, medical, and dental build-outs across Volusia, Flagler, Seminole, Orange, Lake, and Brevard counties. Written schedules, weekly progress reports, and a project manager whose single job is hitting your time-to-occupy date.
Why Elevation for commercial work
Most commercial GC clients describe the same three experiences with their previous builder: schedule slip nobody warned about, change-order surprise after work was already done, and a project manager who stopped answering the phone at week six. We've structured Elevation's commercial engagement to prevent all three. Every project runs on a written schedule signed at contract. Every change order is priced and approved by you in writing before any work proceeds — not after. Your PM has a standing weekly call slot on your calendar, and your principal contact (Samer Patel) is personally available for any escalation. None of that is unusual in residential custom building; it's surprisingly uncommon in commercial GC work, which is why we lead with it.
License, insurance, and bond
Elevation Builders Group LLC holds Florida General Contractor License CBC1266039, which covers commercial vertical construction up to the limits set by Florida Statute 489. We carry current general-liability and workers'-compensation coverage; certificates naming your landlord or tenant as additional insured are provided at contract signing. For projects requiring a performance or payment bond, we maintain bonding capacity through our surety relationship — typical single-project capacity is $2M with aggregate higher. Speak with us during feasibility if your job requires bonding.
Sector expertise
Our commercial work splits across four sectors, each with its own regulatory pathway and MEP profile. The office sub-page covers general and executive TI, private-office demising, and the conferencing/AV considerations that drive premium pricing. The retail sub-page covers tenant-occupied phasing, after-hours construction, and the storefront + signage submittal path. The restaurant sub-page covers Type I hood design, grease interceptor sizing, walk-in cooler integration, and the FL Department of Business and Professional Regulation Division of Hotels and Restaurants review. The medical and dental sub-page covers exam-room plumbing, medical gas, dental vacuum/air, lead-lined walls for imaging suites, and the specialty ventilation that medical and dental fit-outs require.
Markets we serve
Our highest-volume commercial markets are Oviedo (UCF-corridor medical and dental growth, plus Oviedo-on-the-Park mixed-use overlay), Lake Mary + Heathrow (professional office), Sanford (downtown retail and restaurant), Daytona Beach (general commercial + hospitality-adjacent), and Orange City + Deltona (retail + medical). See the Oviedo commercial GC page for our deepest-detail local write-up, including the Oviedo- on-the-Park design-review overlay specifics.
When to pick design-build for commercial
Design-build is especially valuable on commercial projects where time-to-occupy is the tenant's biggest cost driver. A single-team design + build delivery is typically 6–10 weeks faster to certificate of occupancy than design-bid-build, because there's no mid-project bid round and no constructability surprise when the permit drawings hit the GC's desk. For a 3,000 sqft dental practice projecting $80K–$120K per month in revenue, that delta matters. See the design-build services page for the full methodology.
